Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 19 August 2026
Note: This document is being finalised with professional legal review and may be updated. It does not yet constitute fully reviewed legal advice. If you have questions about these terms before agreeing to them, contact us at
hello@accuquote.app.
1. Who we are
AccuQuote ("we", "our", "us") is a quoting application for UK trade professionals, operated as a sole trader trading under the name AccuQuote. AccuQuote is not currently a registered limited company. These terms are a contract between you ("you", "your", the account holder) and AccuQuote.
If you are a consumer accessing this website only (not the app), some references in these terms to "the app" and "your business" won't apply to you — see section 4 for who can hold an account.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any part of the AccuQuote service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old and acting in the course of a trade, business, or profession to hold an AccuQuote account — see section 4.
3. The service
AccuQuote is a mobile application that lets UK tradespeople scan a room (using their device's camera and, where available, LiDAR sensor), describe a job, and receive an AI-generated itemised quote covering labour and materials. Where a live supplier pricing feed is available for a given material, we use that; otherwise pricing is estimated using AI and clearly marked as such. The app also allows users to export quotes as PDF documents, request deposit payments from their own customers via Stripe, and save quote history and 3D scan data.
We reserve the right to add, change, or remove features of the service at any time, and to release new versions of the app that supersede earlier ones.
4. Accounts & business verification
- AccuQuote is built for genuine UK trades businesses. To create and use an account, you must provide a trading name that we verify against the UK Companies House register at sign-up.
- If we cannot verify an active, registered UK company or LLP matching the trading name provided, we may decline to activate your account, and any account created as part of an incomplete verification may be deleted.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account.
- You must notify us promptly at hello@accuquote.app if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.
- One account is intended for use by one individual or business. Team/Crew subscription tiers permit multiple users under a single business account as described at the point of purchase.
5. AI-generated quotes & pricing accuracy
This is the most important section of these terms for how you actually use the app — please read it carefully.
- Quotes, materials lists, labour estimates, room dimensions, and prices generated by AccuQuote are produced using artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude models) combined with, where available, live supplier pricing data. They are estimates, not guarantees.
- Where a specific supplier's live pricing feed is available for a material, the quote will indicate this ("real" pricing). Where no live feed is available, pricing is an AI-generated estimate based on general market rates and is clearly marked as an estimate. You should treat estimated prices as a starting point, not a final figure.
- Room dimensions produced by LiDAR scanning are generally accurate to within a few centimetres under good conditions, but accuracy can be affected by scan quality, room complexity, reflective or transparent surfaces, and device limitations. Non-LiDAR "camera sweep" or manual entry methods are less precise.
- You are responsible for reviewing every quote before sending it to your customer. AccuQuote is a tool to speed up and assist your quoting process — it does not replace your professional judgement, site knowledge, or responsibility to price a job accurately and safely. You should not send a quote you have not personally reviewed and are not prepared to honour.
- We are not liable for losses arising from inaccuracies in AI-generated content, including but not limited to under-pricing, over-pricing, incorrect material quantities, or incorrect dimensions, except where such inaccuracy arises from our negligence and is not excluded by law (see section 15, Liability).
6. Subscriptions, free trial & billing
- New accounts receive 3 free quotes with no card required, to trial the service.
- Paid subscription tiers (Solo, Team, Crew) are billed monthly or annually via Apple's In-App Purchase (StoreKit) system, at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase. Prices may change; we will give notice of price changes before they apply to your next renewal.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in accordance with Apple's App Store subscription terms.
- Payment is processed and charged to your Apple ID account. We do not receive or store your card details — Apple handles all subscription billing.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
7. Cancellations & refunds
- Because subscriptions are billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system, refund requests for subscription charges are handled by Apple under their own refund policy, not directly by us. You can request a refund via reportaproblem.apple.com or through your Apple ID purchase history.
- If AccuQuote does not save you time across your first 3 quotes, contact us at hello@accuquote.app and we will extend your free trial period, as described on our pricing page. This is offered at our discretion and is separate from any statutory refund rights you may have.
- Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period unless required by Apple's policies or applicable law.
8. Customer deposits (Stripe)
- If you choose to request a deposit payment from your own customer through AccuQuote, that payment is processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. AccuQuote is not a party to that payment transaction — the contract for the deposit is between you and your customer.
- You are responsible for complying with any obligations you owe your own customer in relation to deposits taken, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other consumer protection law, where your customer is a consumer.
- We do not hold, control, or have access to deposit funds. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy govern the processing of these payments.
- We are not responsible for disputes, chargebacks, refunds, or non-payment arising between you and your customer.
9. Referral programme
Where offered, our referral programme grants one month free to an existing subscriber for each successful referral, as described on our website at the time. We reserve the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the referral programme, or to decline or reverse rewards obtained through abuse of the programme (including fake accounts or self-referral), at our discretion.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use AccuQuote for any unlawful purpose, or to knowingly provide inaccurate quotes intended to mislead or defraud a customer;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the app's underlying pricing data, AI prompts, or source code;
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, its servers, or networks connected to it, including through excessive automated requests;
- Impersonate another business, or provide false business verification information to circumvent our Companies House verification requirement;
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to your account to any business other than your own.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section — see section 17.
11. Intellectual property
The AccuQuote app, website, branding, and underlying software are our property (or licensed to us) and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own business's quoting purposes for as long as your account remains active. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the app or its content except as expressly permitted.
12. Your content & data
- You retain ownership of the content you submit — job descriptions, customer details, scan data, and quotes you create.
- You grant us a licence to process that content as necessary to provide the service, including sending relevant parts of it to Anthropic's Claude API to generate quote content, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to enter any customer personal data you input into the app (e.g. names, contact details) and for complying with your own obligations as a data controller of that customer data under UK GDPR.
13. Third-party services
AccuQuote relies on third-party services to operate, including Firebase (Google) for authentication, Anthropic for AI quote generation, Apple StoreKit for subscription billing, Stripe for customer deposit payments, and Companies House for business verification. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or changes to these third-party services that are outside our control, though we will make reasonable efforts to maintain the service's availability.
14. Availability & changes to the service
We aim to keep AccuQuote available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, due to technical issues, or due to circumstances outside our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, including specific supplier pricing integrations, at any time, though we will try to give reasonable notice of material changes that affect paying subscribers.
15. Liability
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
- Subject to the above, we provide AccuQuote on an "as is" and "as available" basis and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, exclude all warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated quotes, pricing, or dimension data.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of goodwill arising from your use of the service, including losses arising from inaccurate quotes you send to your own customers.
- Subject to the above, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these terms, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) £100.
- This section does not affect your statutory rights, including any rights you may have as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — though note that AccuQuote accounts are intended for trade/business use, not consumer use (see section 4).
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, or costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or a quote or figure you sent to your own customer, except to the extent such claims arise from our negligence or breach of these terms.
17. Suspension & termination
- You may delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently removes your login credentials.
- We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these terms, if we cannot verify your business, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently or abusively.
- On termination, your right to use the app ends immediately. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 11, 12, 15, and 16) will continue to apply.
18. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or the service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that if you are resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features, legal requirements, or changes to our third-party providers. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification before they take effect. Continued use of AccuQuote after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
