AccuScan

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 July 2026

AccuScan ("we", "our", "us") is a free room-scanning app for UK trade professionals, made by the team behind AccuQuote. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. The short version

AccuScan does not have user accounts, does not have a server, and does not collect, transmit, or sell any of your personal data. Everything the app creates — room scans, floor plans, and 3D models — stays on your device unless you choose to share or export it yourself.

2. Information the app uses

We do not use advertising or analytics tracking SDKs. We do not have user accounts, so there is no email address, password, or sign-in identifier to collect. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we have no way to identify you from your use of this app.

3. Third parties

AccuScan does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services. The only third party involved at all is Apple, through standard iOS system frameworks (camera, LiDAR, local notifications, and the share sheet) — Apple's handling of that is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

If you tap through to our other app, AccuQuote, from within AccuScan, that app has its own separate privacy policy since it works differently (it has accounts and a server) — see AccuQuote's privacy policy for details.

4. Data storage and retention

We don't keep anything — there's no server. Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it yourself, the app's own retention setting removes it (scans older than a set period, which the app warns you about before deleting), or you delete the app entirely.

5. Your rights

Because we don't collect or store any of your data ourselves, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf — that control already sits entirely with you, on your device. If you're in the UK or EU, this means AccuScan's design already satisfies data minimisation principles under UK GDPR / EU GDPR by not collecting anything in the first place.

If you have questions about how iOS itself handles permissions or backups, Apple's own privacy controls (Settings → Privacy & Security) let you review and revoke the app's camera access at any time.

6. Children

AccuScan does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data from anyone at all.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
